and 43: she's cuter than heck.
In a companion piece to my "42 things about me" article, here are 42 things you should know about Krystal:
She:
1) is about 21.2 pounds.
2) will be 11 months old next Wednesday
3) is about 30" tall.
4) can pull herself up.
5) can crawl like crazy.
6) hates having her face scrubbed after a meal.
7) hates having her hands scrubbed after a meal, too.
8) loves taking a bath.
9) Has dark brown eyes.
10) has light brownish hair, but it's kinda hard to tell because it's still pretty thin.
11) looks an awful lot like the Gerber baby. (And I've got a great pic to prove it.)
12) Goes to sleep at 9:00 every night and wakes up at about 7:00.
13) needs a 3-hour nap, or a 2-hour nap plus a 1/2-hour snooze.
14) has two teeth so far, both bottom center.
15) Looks fat when she's sitting down but not when she's getting her diaper changed.
16) loves to sit up on the changing table and pound on the animal pictures that are on the wall.
17) almost always fusses a little bit when I'm sitting down to feed her before putting her to bed, even though she knows food is coming.
18) has been to the emergency room as often as I have (once).
19) had a 104.5 fever, which was the occasion for that visit.
20) likes to shake her head.
21) is ticklish on the backs of her legs.
22) loves to play peek-a-boo around the couch.
23) has way too many toys.
24) is very good at playing with them for fairly extended time periods.
25) likes to bend her book covers backwards, much to my chagrin. (But I let her get away with it ... for now.

26) eats mostly mashed baby foods still, but also the occasional solid.
27) chows down on cheerios at every meal, too.
28) spreads cheerios all over the floor.
29) used to hate getting into the high chair but now is totally blase about it.
30) likes to chew on her toes.
31) manages to accumulate an amazing amount of sock fuzz between her toes.
32) is entirely too likely to pick up and eat carpet fuzz.
33) is very attracted to the TV.
34) is afraid of a big white spider on one particular kid's show whose name I can't recall.
35) loves peaches.
36) doesn't have any shoes yet.
37) wears size 4 diapers.
38) loves to bang any two toys together.
39) enjoys playing with balls, especially holding them over her head and dropping them.
40) has already been on an airplane and was very good about it.
41) has also been to South Dakota and back (a 4-hour ride) and was really good there, too.
42) has yet to speak anything intentionally, but understands an awful lot already.
