unless you're some sort of fairy, maybe.
Today (Saturday, regardless of what the post time on this article says) marks a major milestone in my baby's life so far:
She's got a TOOTH!
Okay, so it's only a tiny little white spot on her gum at the moment, but it's sharp as heck, lemme tell ya. And given that she's 10 months and 6 days old, we've been waiting for the appearance of this little critter for quite a while! Just this evening when we went out for dinner, we chatted with another parent whose baby has two teeth, and this kid is only 6 months old, and he's had his teeth for almost 3 months already.
Now on the other hand, while we have awaited the arrival of this tooth with bated breath, we have not been trying to urge it along. In our chats with our pediatrician, she has told us that late-blooming teeth are often better, stronger, harder, faster, able to leap taller buildings, etc. than earlier teeth. So the delay has not caused us any consternation, really. I'm just glad to see that all the teething that's been going on for what seems like the last 4 months has finally produced some results!
So, it's not like you can actually see the tiny white nub in any of these photos, but I'll still use this occasion as an excuse to show off a few more pix of the cutest baby in the world.
Here is Krystal getting ready to exercise her gums on a toy:
And here, my little darling shows off how strong she is by doing one-handed pushups!
Perhaps showing the effects of the teething, Krystal drools in what seems to be a very determined fashion:
And finally, here's a picture of me taking a picture of all of us, which you can see in the screen of the videocamera:
