This is very cool. I'm working on it, but being a geek of a bit lower order of intelligence, it might take me a little while!

i have way not enough time or patience to work it out -- is way too long - and I have an 8month old

trina_p, read it out loud and pretend, as you listen to yourself, that you have a really bad (but indeterminate) foreign accent. I'll get you started: "Ladle Rat Rotten Hut" == "Little Red Riding Hood".

Oi - that was so weird -- thanks hellion

This reminds me of 'Nell'..."tay in da weend, tay in da weend'"

I did it....I had to read it out loud, but I got all the way through it.

Very good!

My favorite bit is "...pot honor groin-murder's nut cup". If you just accept "nut cup" as is, it makes a very odd picture...

This is genius!! It took me ages to read it. A southern accent seems to work pretty well!

The story I saw said that H.L. Chase, the writer, created it in 1940 as a sort of joke. Rationing was underway, and he thought "well, what if they have to start rationing words, too?" So he did what he could to get double duty out of them.
